The policies had only been in force for 6 months when they bought their home. It’s certainly focused my mind on those clients who don’t have it, and how I would have felt if this particular client had had no cover.”

Imagine taking that call from a client. What if your answer was ‘I’m sorry I can’t help you, you don’t have any protection.’

It’s not a conversation you want to have!

Make protection a priority when you see each and every client. Meet any objections with the facts about how they would cope financially if something were to happen. Employer sick pay and government benefits will only go so far – would they still be able to pay their mortgage if they were sick or were unable to work? Would they be able to pay their bills and live? What if they died?
